The adoption agency is just mad they didn’t get to receive the money for the second adoption (adoption and application fees anywhere from 75.00 to hundreads of dollars.) That is the main reason they want you to return the dog instead of giving it away.
It’s like used car sales that keep selling the same cars to people and repossing them to sell them again, and again.

Thanks for the correction Jo! I know better than to take what I hear on the news at face value! lol I've seen enough distorted to know there's always more to the story.

Beth, you sound like my sister.

The issue is Ellen violated her contract, broke the rules. She threatened Mutts and Moms with a bad media expose' ( hence the TMZ coverage ). This is the SECOND time in 2 years she has adopted a dog and given it away, and now there's rumblings of a 3rd discarded dog a few years back. The agency had every right to know where the dog was...all Ellen had to do was have the hairdresser fill out an application, it would have been fine, the dog could have stayed there. However, Ellen and the hairdresser refused to fill out the application. The whole thing has gotten do ugly and rescues are now getting the crap beaten out of them by Ellen supporters. They didn't violate the contract, Ellen did.

Sorry to be ranting, but I went thru hell, high water and the deep blue sea to rescue my Sally, and while I hated it ( and them ) I'm glad they adhered to policy. I just had to follow the rules.
