To watch one's home burn down and take with it your memories and dreams is a horrifying thing. Further I have friends that live in the area whose homes are in danger, so I am not unsympathetic to the plight of the Californians. Having said that though... Could it be that the people in Georgia are seeing the rain because of their prayers for rain while the people in Calif... Nevermind. I'm not going to go there. I'd hate to be accused of prejudice against the irreligious. Before I say this, let me disclaim: I am horrified to see the damage due to the fires in California.
