I really enjoy looking at house plans. We have a house that we have no intention of leaving right now, but I still like looking at house plans. Its really cool having them online now. I remember when we had to buy books of plans. Now we just have to look online.
If we decided to get rid of this big ol’ house one of these days, we’ll probably opt for a smaller ranch, so I was looking at Small Ranch House Plans at House Plans and More. I also looked at English Cottage House Plans and Log Cabin House Plans.
I pretty much ruled out a log cabin, but I think the English Cottage and Ranch plans are fantastic. There are a huge variety of plans to choose from. There are various styles and sizes of house plans. Sizes can be as small as under 1,000 square feet to over 4,000 square feet. I really like the English Cottage styles. They just feel cozy and warm. The style dates back to medieval England. I like the asymmetrical design, the gables and all the nooks and crannies in the cottages.
