Hollywood’s transparent politics are usually worthless to me, but in this case I'm enraged.

For example, you would think a low budget film like Bella, which became a hit and has a moving lesson about life, would send Hollywood a message about what kinds of films the public would like to see. What the public does not want to see are anti-American and anti-war films, which are largely rejected. Does Hollywood listen? It appears not because they have an agenda and that agenda seems to drive them more than mere entertainment does.

There are some amazing stories that have come from Iraq - stories about generosity, sacrifice, and astonishing courage. Any one of them would make an inspirational film, but don’t expect a movie about them anytime soon.

Such a shame, too…many of those men and women in uniform give the rest of us something to be proud of.

Hollywood, movie stars and directors live in their own little bubble of unreality. They are pampered, vastly overpaid and know, just know they are entitled because of who they are and what they do. It's a world that has zero values, where any citizen would stab his own mother in the back if he got a part, sold a script or got a green light for a project. Lies are normal and stealing is okay. Same with drugs; they are entitled so why not use whatever they want? Consequences? Don't make me laugh! The real tragedy is they see Iraq and our military through the same skewed, sick prism they hold up for others. Thus, fantasy becomes reality, lies become truth and noble warriors morph into savage barbarians. The only way to get their attention is to boycott all movies and picket in front of every theater showing these distorted little pieces of time.
I would hate for returning Iraqi Vets to go through what many Vietnam-era vets did when they came home: they were roundly castigated and pigeon-holed as "babykillers" and routinely spat upon.

The really sad, sad thing is a good anti-war movie can be made without slandering the soldiers. If today's Hollywood had any brains, talent, conscience or ethics, they would make a modern "All Quiet on the Western Front" or "Paths of Glory." But that would involve meeting and knowing some of the same fine people they've been damning.

I'm not sure where to post this tbh :P . I know people are real edgy with all the blog spam etc. I use to run a blog myself, so I'm aware of the work you actually do to keep this up :D . Anyway point is I thought I'd try and put something back into the community so I've written a little plugin folks might like. You can find it if you click through to my website. If you don't like it just delete this comment. Thanks for your time.
