I am a real believer in self hypnosis. I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I was a psychotherapists at one point in my life and had a license to do hypnotherapy. I went into hypnosis with a little bit of trepidation primarily because it is portrayed as a parlor trick in movies. In reality, its a very effective way of dealing with a broad range of personal issues that affect our lives.
Self hypnosis can work to help you stop habits that are negatively affecting you. Anything from quitting smoking to dealing with insomnia can be affectively dealt with through self-hypnosis.
I have found a great website that offers hypnosis downloads. The downloads there cover everything I could think of that anyone might use it for. Their categories include self-improvement, dealing with fears and phobias, dealing with addictions and habits, personal development and much much more!

Beth, This is related to “imagining therapy” and there is solid science behind that.

Hi there , nice article ! I am a former Graves Disease patient and insomnia disorder is one of the most debilitating symptoms of this disease. Since I have the Sleep Audio Program I have no problems sleeping all night. My 10 year old daughter is also listening to her Sleep CD.
