If you are like me, you hate having to carry a bunch of different bags when you travel OR have a bag in which everything is all jumbled up. When I went to Europe recently, I found myself digging through my huge pocket book for a pen, or credit card, or whatever it was I was looking for at any particular moment. I got so aggravated with that bag that once we got to our destination I ended up leaving it in the apartment and just taking my wallet and a few other necessities in the pockets of my coat. It wasn’t very fashionable, but it was a whole lot more accessible and I didn’t have that huge bag dragging me down.
Apparently, someone else has been frustrated by the same thing because now there is the Buxton Bag . Its advertised on television as the ‘biggest little bag ever!’ And that’s the truth. It is an over the shoulder organizer that holds a huge amount of stuff and keeps it organized so that what ever you are looking for is right there at your fingertips. In addition to being useful, its soft genuine leather is attractive. It comes in red, tan and black.
Go over to the website and check it out. You’ll be surprised at how much stuff you can put in the bag and still be able to find it when you need it.

Who knows how good the bag is in real life? My wife saw the dumb commercial on TV, and unfortunately we ordered it before Christmas 2007. I see the charge posted on Dec 24th. It is now… Feb 23rd, 2008, Saturday, and the stupid bag has not yet arrived, and there is no indication of its status.
Other complaints? You BET:
1) I called the customer service number listed in my bank’s charge listing for our order, and it indicated ‘they all were busy’. Not like one of those classy messages that tells you approximately how long a wait you have. I gave up after 10 minutes of Muzak and other wasted activities.
2) When we ordered the stupid thing, it took 30 minutes to exit gracefully, because the system kept prompting us for additional products, services, upgrades, features, etc, etc. I didn’t want to hang up and leave our charge in some unknown state.
3) We called the Buxton customer service number today (Saturday). Wrong day. They are in operation (so they say 830AM to 10PM) Mon-Fri, EST. We’ll find out.
My wife has vowed to never buy anything with the Buxton name ever again. Thank G-d!!! No more infomercial orders through an automated (yeah, that’s right) system again, either.
Buxton? Go out of business ASAP, and do us a big favor, will ya?
Buy BUXTON? Caveat emptor!!!
Later, fool.

I purchased one of the pocketbooks, I too was looking for organization and something that could leave me hands free. I recieved the pocketbook, and felt it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I did start using it right away, within a couple of weeks the strap stitching came out. I would never order from them from online again! I’m extremly disappointed.

I ordered two of these bags on Christmas eve. In the end of January, I called to ask where they were. The wait to speak to Ramon was actually 20 minutes. He said they were on backorder. In February, I received a postcard stating they were still on backorder and asking if I wanted to cancel. I sent the postcard back and cancelled the order. Today is March 11 and the bags have arrived anyway. I don’t know what they look like because the package reeks so badly of mildew that I did not open it. Calls are now answered by a machine that doesn’t have an option for a live person. Press star. A live person will answer and give the address for returns. Stinky package is now on porch, waiting to go back tomorrow. I can’t wait to see how long it takes to credit my account. NEVER AGAIN will I order from a TV ad.

My daughter ordered a buxton bag for my birthday–weeks ahead of the date. It is now over a month after my birthday and I am still waiting. I cannot reach customer service because it is Saturday. I plan to just cancel the order from what I have read the quality is not good and it probably is backordered. But at you would expect, they charged the full price including shipping to my daughter’s credit card. Buyer beware!!
