I just found out that Cher will be replacing Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace. If you keep up with celebrity goings-on you might know that Celine Dion announced her retirement a month or so ago. I guess she has wound up her contract with Caesar’s Palace and now Cher will be taking her act there.
This is noteworthy to me because my husband has been in love with Cher for quite some time. Actually, he hasn’t mentioned it in a while, but for years any time she was on television he would tell me that he needed to let me know that he would leave me for her. I would always tell him that he should go for it. By all means. I’ve written about all that on this blog before. I don’t want Cher to read this and think she can have my husband. She’s just one of several famous women that my husband has told me he’d leave me for. And, before people get upset, he’s just joking with me.
Now that I know about her new gig I’m wondering if I should get Cher tickets at Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas as a treat for my husband. Really, it would be a treat. She puts on a fantastic show. Just like her personality, its bigger than life. Cher has had one of the longest careers in show business starting with her rise to fame in 1965. She has continued to be an active, glamorous, successful and popular performer all these years. It should be a great show.
