I could never support RP because of his stance on the war in Iraq. However, he WAS snubbed last night. If a candidate has enough support to be invited to the debate, then all the candidates should be given equal time. It was the equivalent of CNN saying that he was good enough to be invited but not good enough to talk. I thought it was very biased - and I am definitely not a Ron Paul fan.

I can't believe American citizens have become so ignorant not to notice what is happening during these debates.

There is no doubt that if "Ron Paul" is NOT a threat to monied interests in this country (in receiving their tax sponsored corporate welfare.....why would they decide to exclude him?

Obviously he is a threat to their free money & ability to then spend it with lobbyists to pass even more legistlation that benefits them directly.

If Ron Paul has such a low amount of support, why did the mainstream media have no problem pushing someone with no support (Guiliani was supposedly a wrapup for the Republican nomination !)

Democrats are exactly the same as most republicans these days. Bought & paid for.

The author of this blog should investigate Pauls policies before writing him off in a juvenile uneducated off the cuff blog post.

Hey William - I hadn't thought of that, but that's a good point! It could very well be. I mean, next to Ron Paul even Hillary would look good (YIKES - did I actually say that?

www.ultimateronpaul.com is not Ron Paul's web site. It was begun by Richard Viguerie, author of "Conservatives Betrayed," a major player in the modern conservative movement. He has recently been more and more in favor of Ron Paul as the true conservative candidate, and began the website to provide information about Dr. Paul.

Heh heh. The secret Ron Paul meme worked yet again.

Hey, Beth, do you ever get the feeling that Ron Paul is invited to the debates simply to make folks like McCain, Romney, and Huckabee look more palatable?

It's been over a year now that I've been told by venomous Ron Paul critics, that I should give up... I'm throwing my vote away. You know, I don't have any bad feelings towards you people. I'm slightly disappointed that it's your fault that the rest of us are going to have to suffer. Either way you deserve what you get... Ron Paul hasn't been whining, and we haven't been whining. Right now we're on the titanic, and you don't know its sinking, but there are some of us who know better. We can see the signs, and we're trying to save your asses. Because of the mass suppression of Ron Paul, you're allowing Mccain/Hillary to take control of our country, you should be ashamed. Get ready for more deficit spending and WW-III.

Oh, the irony!

You're whining about somebody else allegedly whining.

I suppose you wish we'd all just shut up and go away, and stop complaining about the fraud being passed off as a 'debate'?

Somehow I think you'd be singing a different tune if YOUR candidate was treated the way Ron Paul has been. To be blunt, I suspect you're really a hypocrite. Have a nice day.

Ron Paul was included in the debate because he met the debate criteria, period. He is polling above 5% nationally, polling above 5% in California, and has finished in the top 4 in 3 of the early states so far -- 2nd in Nevada and Louisiana, and 4th in Michigan. Should CNN just ignore candidates that have placed in the top 2 in some states?

Since he was invited, he should have been given equal time, as should Huckabee. That's a pretty basic rule of debate at any level -- all sides get the same amount of time. It's a travesty that the TV networks would run them any other way -- 90% of the nation hasn't voted yet. It was an even bigger travesty that the hosts promised to "get back to" Paul and Huckabee, but didn't.

CNN is looking more like Fox News every day.

Whining? That's pointing out something is wrong without a plan to make it right. Well, since Ron Paul has a plan and has promoted his plan, then his telling the truth could hardly be whining. We can learn from history.

Overall, I think the them of peace, prosperity and freedom is pretty positive.
