ABC news sent a reporter deep into the danger zones of Iraq to find out who American Soldiers are going to vote for for President. The reporter came away with some shocking sentiments from the Soldiers. For instance, she found out that Soldiers think about home and would like to be at home!!!! SHOCKING!!!!
“We think about how our families are doing back home. That’s a major concern, like how the economy is doing, also as well as where we’re going to be in the future. Because really, truly, what we consider we’re doing, we’re doing a valuable job, we want to make sure that the efforts we make are appreciated.”
The reporter also found out that the Troops are too engaged in what is going on there to keep up with politics back home. Lord. Have. Mercy! In a war zone they aren’t tuning in to CNN every night to see what the latest gossip is or how far they are going to have to go to willingly suspend disbelief in order to vote for someone this fall. Tsk. Tsk.
I don’t know what the Soldiers are so busy doing over there that they can’t chill out in the evening and tune in to ABC for the nightly Obama love fest!!! They didn’t have to work nearly as hard as this particular reporter had to work. She searched until she found three Soldiers who she could contort quotes from that could be construed to mean that they are going to vote for Barack Obama for President!
Now they can report that the military backs Obama for President!
Well done little ABC reporter! Well done! You know that had to be a difficult task, but she accomplished it. I hope she gets a big bonus for her efforts or a raise or a promotion. Its well deserved.
Tune in to ABC for more of The Love of Obama!

For every 3 she finds that will, she will find 3000 that won’t…guess she isn’t allowed to tell that particular truth, huh ?

There was a “news report” on one station a couple weeks ago (CNN maybe - don’t remember), but they interviewed Iraqi soldiers to find out who they were supporting in the election. It was split between Hillary and Barack. Then the reporter said that they wanted to be fair, but that not a single soldier supported McCain. Really? Not a single soldier in that particula runit of the Iraqi army supports McCain. Now why is that so hard for me to believe. They immediately lost any trust I ever had in the accuracy of their “news” reports.

American soldiers have donated 6 X more to the Obama campaign then to the McCain campaign. You might want to rethink your little propaganda piece.

As a former Marine and having friends that are still serving, I can tell you this. Of course the troops want to come home, but time and time again I find them supporting McCain. I have found some that were friends of my friends that support Obama and my conclusion is this. Troops that support Obama are for the most part, one term enlistment people. The ones that are making a career out of it or are higher ranked NCO’s and pretty much all CO’s do support McCain because they value military experience and the fact that he’s a national military hero helps too.

I think you are right Sergioe. That’s been my experience with the military ppl I know. I haven’t actually met any or know of any that support Obama. But I’m sure there are a few.
Those that value the military and understand the mission and the importance of having a strong military are strong supporters of McCain and worry about the damage an Obama presidency would do to the military.

I think you all are out of touch with reality.
I support the mission and my troops yet i find it hard to believe in a 6 yr waste of time like iraq. The saudis still haven’t paid our country for the first desert storm, and we as soldiers are wanting to back a candidate just because he was a pow. Last time i checked that doesn’t qualify him to run a country, lets face reality what does the war in iraq have to do with 911. There is not one supporting link. Truth be told those hijackers were not iraqis. Data showed also that AQI didn’t exsist until we occupied. Now I like others serve this country, but come on this war is making rich people richer with contract jobs and the only reason a soldier likes being in iraq study shows is for the extra money. Oh and look at this we defeated who, I bet you could not even tell me who the real enemy in iraq is. Hey, democrat or republican noone can deny this, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF IRAQ. maybe we will stop running blind. Why are Soldiers supporting Obama. Everyone i talk to in this military supports him because they are tires of republican lies. Like someone said Reagan was the greatest president. How I remember those years, I saw Col. Oliver North on tv for the first time. Why Iran contra. Our economy was fucked up then. I remeber president bush SR.
I was a 18 yr old soldier going to the sands then. The saudis told us to get out and colon powell agreed. Maybe then we should have went on into iraq. But that was under republican ldrship to. The the peace and prosperous times of clinton. Well they rich hated those yrs because he helped the poor. And the sorry ass days of the president we have now. Yea you voted for him. Now we find out that iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and I have been there 3 times and still havent seen it. But in those three yrs The military has high divorce rates, suicide is very high, and i find out from iraqi studies the surge didn’t work and they want us out. 3 out of 5 republicans i talk to on the battlefield and in garrison says they will vote for whoever will end this war……
I think everyone should research they will find out that the majority of the military wants change because not only are we soldiers but we still are citizens of the us.

oh i forgot to add, it was reagan who negotiated with the terrorist and tried to cove that up. I think that started the problem we have now not clinton. See republicans to have a very strange history when it comes to presidents. Noone likes to talk about those.
See it is funny we went to iraq to fight terrorist yet we had terroristic acts for decades in lynching, church bombings, kidnapping but american didn’t want to come to those who needed aid within our own country and like now i read an article on race dealing with the soccer moms vs black mothers, i thought that was very unfair because it is saying whites will not vote for obama because of prejudices. I say just like during world war 2 and korea america still haven’t gotten past racism even in our military. Wow I think we should be trying to resolve our own economic and social problems before we can tell others how to live.
