As a former lobiest for grass roots causes I know that people come walking in with demands and demand to be heard. Nothing turns off an aid faster than a loud demand. Aids are the filters and if they don't think you are respectful or that are being rude, the senator or representative will likely not even know you are out there. But as I said. I was not there and don't know. I can say that Bush has gone to Iraq. He meets with generals. Then he denies vets their GI bill with raises and college tuition. Obama has supported GI Bills, Bush has not. Does meeting with the troops and generals count as support? Not if your name is George Bush it doesn't. Obama is not about grand-standing for votes. I prefer that to a two-faced photo-op visit when you know you are going to stab them in the back when you get home.
