Chicago Priest and Barack Obama supporter Father Michael Pfleger is the center of more controversy today following a sermon he delivered at Obama’s home church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. In the long racially divisive hate-filled rant, Father Pfleger mocked Hillary Clinton and declared that white race is guilty of pretty much everything that has ever happened to the black race. He asserts that white people have a moral obligation to surrender all their personal assets, which, he asserted, rightfully belong to black people (see video below).
Barack Obama has once again had to distance himself from a racist former close friend. Michael Pfleger issued an apology yesterday after he got a lot of grief, unlike one of Obama’s other racist former close friends, Jeremiah Wright, who reiterated his stance rather than apologizing.
Michael Pfleger Biography
Michael Louis Pfleger was born on May 22, 1949. He was raised on the south side of Chicago and attended Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary South, Loyola University and the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. On May 14, 1975 he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Pfleger became the youngest paster in the Chicago archdiocese when he was 31-years-old in 1981. when he was assigned to be the pastor of Saint Sabina Roman Catholic Church in Chicago. Saint Sabina is in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood and Pfleger remains their pastor. The church has grown under his leadership. He has established an Employment Resource Center, a Social Service Center and an Elders Home.
Father Pfleger has been known for his social activism and has often drawn criticism for radical stances on a number of issues. For instance, in May 2007 he drew national attention when he called for the murder of a gun shop owner in Illinois as well as legislators who support the Second Amendment. Recently, he played intermediary in a lash up between his friend The Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

I am not a supporter of anyone at this point. However, Obama’s church seems to breed hate and complete ignorance. The things this priest said are just outrages! He should not be a priest! This so called priest is making racist remarks, mocking at someone crying, and cursing in church. Wow! What is holy and GODLY about that? This priest should help people find GOD; not find ignorance, hate, and teach people to degrade one another. I didn’t hear a thing about GOD in that sermon. How can Obama go to this church? If I know that a church is not preaching a positive Godly message then I would leave and go a church that has GOD in it. On another note, Obama is a good speaker and that’s all I have seen so far. I need more than talk to convince me. Furthermore, I am so sick of hearing about race keeping people down. I am of mixed race and I feel every person in this day and time has an opportunity to do anything they want if they really want it. If you let race be an issue it will be. So stop crippling yourself and you will see it’s only yourself holding you back.

If Barack’s belief system was not in line with the church he’s attended for 20 years and his spiritual advisors, then he would have quit this church years ago. People are coming to realize this. My friend is a rabid Obama fan. She traveled an hour and then waited five hours in line to see him. She is a broken-glass democrat. Today she expressed serious doubts about BHO. I was shocked.

For Beth,
I don’t like BHO just because he is half black. I like a lot of his ideas.
However, that being said, I’m still considering McCain. It really just depends on which candidate
has the most aggressive alternative energy policy for me. That is the only cure for our current crisis
in the ME. PERIOD!! We cannot change a 1000 year old culture with tanks, jets, guns and bombs.
Indeed, they will just rally against us! (i.e. see now!) We need their oil now but, it would be great
to not need their oil in the near future. Then we can tell the Saudis and punks like Chavez (their citizens perpertrated
(9-11) to enjoy their oil with crackers. However, we will not accomplish this with our military!
It will only be accomplished with an aggressive alternative energy policy. I say an effort similar
to the development of nukes in WWII.
Also, a McCain presidency would be fun. I truely believe his policies, despite his rhetoric now,
will end up agitating you guys more than us liberals!! Good Day.
