CNN just did a story and interview with “Blue Star Families For Obama”. (Two women who are military moms.) They did quite a good job insinuating that they spoke for the broad military community. Is this part of the regular “Blue Star Moms”? The story basically said blue star families support Obama’s security policies. Just curious.

They may be ‘blue star moms’ - but they don’t represent all blue star moms.
This site is privately owned and I don’t speak for anyone but myself.
The military and military families represent the entire spectrum of society since they come out of our society. I think it would be presumptuous of anyone to claim that they can speak for everyone else with a family member in the military.

BTW - I’m not sure what Obama’s security policies are other than appeasement and avoidance of conflict.
The changes of us having a catastrophic war with Russia and Iran are much too great under an Obama administration. They would perceive him as naive and weak and use that as an opportunity to move into former Soviet countries to gain control of the oil pipelines that supply Western Europe.
We are the only thing standing between them and the rest of Europe right now. They aren’t quite sure we won’t step in and stop them. They went into Georgia to see what we’d do. So far, we’ve held them to that line.
Obama was very clear that he’d have let them take Georgia - then it would have been the Ukraine and Poland and then Russia would have control over the rest of Europe.
Those two women don’t speak for me. They are probably the only two women with sons in the military they could find that would voice support for Obama.

Agreed. My sister, a blue star mom, was not happy. I was just confused about whether the Blue Star Moms organization had endorsed Obama.

Blue Star Families for Obama is a grassroots organization started by a group of military family members supporting Obama. We have more than 300 members. We are not associated with the non-partisan Blue Star group.
