There’s a ton of speculation today that Sarah Palin has been picked as McCain’s running mate. Read about it below and see photos and a video of Palin below.

Official Portrait
We will know who John McCain has picked as his running mate around noon today. But the speculation has been heavy that it is Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. This would be a bold choice, but then McCain is a bold man.
The reason for the speculation is that Palin has been on McCain’s short list all along. A private plane was dispatched to Alaska last night. It left Anchorage, Alaska and landed in Dayton, Ohio. A woman was seen disembarking the plane with two men, one a teenage boy. As everyone know, Palin has a teenage son.
We also know that other probably VEEP picks have been eliminated. Most notably, both Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney and Joe Lieberman all of whom have been alternatively speculated to be the vice presidential picks over the last few days.
Sarah Palin is definitely not a Washington insider, she has a 90% approval rating in her home state of Alaska, she ran on cleaning up corruption. She has solid conservative credentials, has executive experience as the Governor of Alaska. She has five children, her youngest just born five months ago. She is a strong supporter of our Troops.
We’ll find out who will be our next Vice President shortly. Frankly, I’m really excited at the possibility of it being Sarah Palin!
AND - she’s a Blue Star Mother - her son is in a striker brigade in Iraq. HOOAH!!!!!

HA! Oh you smartie GOP folk. Talk about NO experience though!!!???…But ALASKA! What a prize. Now you can drill drill drill! Poor Alaskans and all the beautiful wildlife. Say goodbye to your homes if this duo gets elected!

I take nothing away from the accomplishments of Governor Palin but what a transparent attempt to win the female vote. I hope someone asks her how she can support someone in the year 2008 who thinks that a man in her position, should make more than she does for doing the same job. I have no respect for a woman who can ignore something so fundamental about what America stands for and dies for. Maybe McCain will try to lower the deficit by hiring a large percentage of women to the federal government.
I can’t wait to DRILL NOW as you say, and save .02 a gallon in the year 2018. Good Solution John.

LOL mccain and palin, what a joke…. mccain is NOT going to have a chance in NOVEMBER because his male dominance will take over if they get in the white house. then we’ll see the REAL mccain…
mccain’s camp obvious strat: get all female voters by bringing in a young, nice? lady from alaska who no one knows… (vomiting)

Palin is NOT McSame - no matter how you Obamabots try to spin it! lol
August 29th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Beth,
You’re right, she’s not McSame… but she is less experienced than Obama. So now the Obama/Biden ticket actually has more experience than the McCain/Palin ticket…. how do you continue to attack Obama for not being ready to lead and then pick a running mate who isn’t ready to take over if something were to happen… Mavrick.. yeah right… Moron is more like it.
August 29th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Daniel - she has more experience than Obama. You are delusional if you think that the TOP of the Democrat’s ticket has as much experience as the BOTTOM of the Republican ticket.
The fact that the dems are slamming this woman as a woman who is from Middle America is just pitiful and indicates how scared the are.
August 29th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
This is exactly what the GOP wants…a discussion on the “small things”. Look, McCain has been wanting to drill offshore for a while now and now if he wins he has the perfect place to start.
Beth-No, she does not have more experience than Obama if you look at the numbers, unless you count the time she spent running for Miss Alaska :-). Obama has been in the political scence since 1996 (IL Govnt counts), which puts him at 12 years. She has served as mayor for a term, lost her run at US Senate and has only been a govenor for 2 years. She likes to hunt, loves guns, and her husband works for BP…and this is the “person” you want as second in command? Where is her record at? Where is her real expereince?
No Way. No How. No McCain.

So much for experience. How could the McCain campaign called Senator Obamba naive and inexperience and later pick a political rookie for a running mate. That just makes the decision on November 4TH even easier for the American people. Once more, Senator McCain has shown that he’s incapable of making sound decisions and that the American voters can not trust him.

Prince, Palin has been in politics longer then Obama, has been running a whole State, has worked real jobs, and, oh, yeah, she is the VP choice, not running for president.
Nice try, but, y’all moonbats try and keep the seething down to a low boil and attempt to enjoy the weekend.

[...] Blue Star Chronicles has Heart’s Barracuda in her honor and announces that she’ll be McCains VEEP. [...]
August 29th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
William - they have completely downplayed any of her accomplishments. Apparently, to the dems, she doesn’t matter because she’s a woman.
August 30th, 2008 at 3:26 am
Oh Beth, I see the Obama acolytes have alighted here with their superior knowledge and legendary “tolerance.”
Ahem:

As someone else has said, Palin has run a State, Obama runs his mouth.
Another thing, Palin actually ran and won the Governorship and not by throwing everyone else off the ballot.
Reality to Obamabots … a woman doesn’t become INAUTHENTIC just because she doesn’t drink the Left Cult kool-aid.

Obama has no military leadership experience.Sarah Palin as Gov. of Alaska is Commander and Chief of The National Guard of her State.
