Bracelet Debate: McCain and Obama
One wears his to remember. The other one for show.
Many of us know that John McCain wears the bracelet of a dead soldier, Army Specialist Matthew Stanley, who was killed in combat outside of Baghdad just before Christmas, 2006. It was given to McCain by Matthew’s mom, Lynne Savage. During the Presidential debate, Barack Obama showed the world that he too wears a troop bracelet of a soldier killed in Iraq given to him by the soldiers mom. The problem? He couldn’t seem to remember the name of the soldier!

By the way, the name on the bracelet that Obama wears? Sgt. Ryan David Jopek who was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb, Aug. 2, 2006.
“All gave some. He gave all” are the words engraved on Sgt. David Jopek’s bracelet.

However subtle, I thought it was conspicuous and disgraceful that he did not remember the name of the soldier’s name on his bracelet. Sen. Obama is not only not ready to lead, I believe he has too many character flaws to ever be able lead this great nation.

Lou – it gets worse, I just found out that the family has asked Obama to quit using their son’s death as a prop in his speeches.
