The cartoon Doonesbury took a swipe at Sarah Palin and her family. Read about it below.
Garry Trudeau (not Gary Trudeau) used his Doonesbury comic strip on Sunday to sling more mud at Sarah Palin and her family. They love to slam Sarah Palin. The entire comic strip was basically a campaign ad for the Barack Obama campaign. In fact, I wonder if any of the $800,000 that the Obama campaign paid to ACORN to help with that campaign went to Trudeau? No? Well. It was just a thought.
The whole cartoon is a recount of a portion of the disgusting accusations against Palin and her family in the first weeks following her joining the McCain campaign. Things got seriously ugly in those first heady days when she sent a wave of unadulterated panic through the Obama supporters.
They seem to have gotten their footing a little bit now. The game plan seems to ignore the enthusiastic supporters who attend the huge rallies for McCain and Palin. The only time these rallies are in the news is if someone in the crowd says something the media deems inappropriate or a conservative commentator criticizes McCain and/or Palin. Otherwise, they are ignored.
The message from the liberals is clear. Women are supposed to shut up and keep out of the way unless they drink the liberal Koolaide. Conservative women will be bashed, slashed and dashed … along with their families.
Fortunately for all of us. Sarah Palin’s got on her stompin’ heels.

well when i hear garry trudeau calling for an act of violence. Then there is a reason for me to say conservatives have a right to cry foul.

I haven’t heard, or read any Palin supporters asserting that the Doonesbury charges aren’t true… only that that they are “offended” by them.

Wow….I am glad I read this one. Now I understand what Dmitry Vukicvich meant when he said “Wow, Dennis F has drank all the kool aid and left none for anyone else.”
I responded to his comment in post #74 of the following thread:
http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=4225&cp=8
Unfortunately, he was actually responding to Beth, as I had quoted her at the beginning of an earlier post and he apparently went ballistic over the fact that she quoted the (very) former Chancellor of Germany, as if only a left wing radical would ever quote that man.
It s funny that he thought I was such a left wing radical. If he had actually read the post that he responded to, he would have realized that I hold the radical elements of both the left and the right in utter contempt. But then again, the kind of posts that I have seen from him just provides more reason for me to hold both extremes in contempt.
Whenever I hear the term ‘Bipolar disease’, I think immediately of the affliction that those two extremes suffer. If I was a bleeding heart liberal, I would say that they need to be hugged, but I am not. That is why I say that the old custom of ‘counting coup’ by removing a person from their scalp may one day return with the targets being those at the edges of society, and not the center.

The comic strip forgot that Sarah had a run in her stockings in Toledo, which should have been reason enough for dismissal from the party ticket. You let that slide and next she’ll be advocating the the government taking over the auto industry and controlling the banking industry, while passing a economic rescue bill that pretends to stimulate the economy and will double the national debt. Then she’ll probably promote something stupid, like a cap and trade proposal that will add $1500-$2000 to everyone’s utility bills and destroy the economy that she pretends to want to save. And if that doesn’t work, she may even propose a health care reform package that eliminates the private health-care insurers with a plan that cuts benefits to medicare, allowing old folk to die earlier (legal euthanasia), and giving it to illegal aliens who haven’t paid into the plan, while quadrupling the national debt. So let’s all nitpick her to death before she becomes a real threat to America. By the way, our leaders have already offered our apologies for having fought to save freedom and democracy in the world. We are sorry, especially those who died on foreign soil, seemingly for nothing. Rag on brothers. Rag on.
