Zogby: McCain Leads

John McCain is currently leading Barack Obama by one point. Drudge is reporting a lead of 48 to 47.
ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all…
I think evidence of this has been the confusion within the democrat’s ranks concerning who they are going to raise taxes on. Just today Governor Richardson of New Mexico said that the democrats would raise taxes on families making $120,000 or more. The other day Joe Biden said the cap was $150,000 and more. Obama keeps promising $250,000 and more but has a history of voting to raise taxes on people making $48,000.
More evidence that the internal polling in Obama’s campaign may have been given them some things to worry about. For instance, his need to put his face out there for everyone to view just before the World Series the other night. Millions of dollars spent on his ads, payoffs and Lord only knows what else.
It seems there is a certain level of desperation in the Obama crowd right now.
Worse than all of this, is the democrats contempt for all things American, Middle American in particular. It hasn’t set well with most people that they have crisscrossed the country making fun of and trying to intimidate people like ‘Joe the Plumber’ and ‘Tito the Builder’. The country is full of working class people who feel they would be treated the same way by the Obama people. Most people feel that the contempt the democrats show towards ‘Joe the Plumber’ is contempt they feel towards all of us. All you have to do is look at who is moving towards McCain and Palin.
Just today, McCain met with Charles Gibson (who didn’t look down his nose from his reading glasses at him the way he did to a woman Sarah Palin). McCain told Gibson, ‘We’re coming back strong’. I suspect the McCain internal polling is telling them the same thing Obama’s is.
McCain and Palin reach out to Middle America while Obama snickers at Middle America. McCain and Palin have a history of uniting the parties for the best interest of the country while Obama stays in the far left and has never spoken a word to his followers in an attempt to quiet the incendiary rhetoric of ‘blood flowing in the streets’. McCain and Palin embrace varying opinions while Obama’s camp attempts to intimidate and silence dissent. McCain and Palin talk about serving the country, Obama talks about himself.
Today at an Obama rally, someone in the crowd yelled out, ‘I need a job’. Obama’s response was that there was nothing he could do about that right now, he’s trying to win an election. Way wrong answer.
The American people aren’t stupid. We see the stark difference between the two tickets. The polls are starting to catch up with the people.

Obama on the brink of collapse
Looking at news and polls on Saturday morning from around the country it looks as though John McCain supporters have finally awaken as Barack Obama starts to slip fast in states he was sure to lock up by this weekend.
With the sudden switch of direction from the Obama campaign it looks as if their strategy of attack is exploding right before their eyes.
Baracks efforts of adding advertising in states he has no chance has allowed John McCain to recapture the lead in Indiana, close the gap to 3 points in Pennsylvania.
Reading blogs and websites on the internet over the last day shows John McCain supporters like Lisa in Florida saying, “it feels there is new life in the Republican party and I will be out knocking on doors this weekend for McCain”.
The biggest hit today to the Obama campaign comes from Zogby as they have posted numbers from Friday showing John McCain now leads over Barack by +1.
Hang on folks as it looks like the Straight Talk Express is about to pull into the driveway of the White House.

Whomever that was who couldn’t leave a name, I guess, i too, would be ashamed to stand up for barack Hussein Obama. Lord knows he ’s never stood up for America. He puts this great country down any chance he gets and that’s why supposedly we need this so-called “CHANGE”. If his life and acquaintances represent the change he wants this country to have then I want no part. This is the saddest thing i’ve ever witnessed in my life. Guess what people if you can’t take care of yourself i promise you the government can’t either! These are empty promises to buy your vote. I hope the people expecting to get a handout realize that 1000$ doesn’t go very far. Is a handout really worth our national security….
You’ll still wake up the miserable people you were before obama! The Gov. can’t work miracles.

The McCain/Palin ticket has run the most dishonorable campaign in U.S. history, bar none. I feel sorry for people who have accepted the litany of distortions and half-truths that have been coming out of the mouth of these two candidates. It lacks dignity and integrity. What will they say on Tuesday night in their inevitable concession speeches.
