Michelle Obama gave a speech in which she stated that the Commander in Chief needs to understand military families. Specifically, she said he needs to not just know how to wage war, but what war DOES to military families.
She had a pretty brochure made up to help people understand the effect war has on families who have loved ones fighting overseas. I guess you can read it an learn all about what it feels like to have your son in the line of fire and have to listen to the news apparently taking glee in counting bodies.
This video gives an eye opening contrast between the two presidential campaigns and their views of the military, military families and national security.

This should be an eye opener:John McCain would be a fighter for this country not a pretender! We should reward this American hero with our vote!
Obama will be the beginning of the end-he does not believe in our military or in preemptive measures to protect this great country. Guess what? while we are setting over here trying to “talk” to known terrorist and make nice, these other countries will be planning our demise. Wake up AMERICA.

I agree, McCain needs to use this more to his advantage. I understand that that war is not popular right now and honestly, McCains war strategy has been horrible but if he would have approached it right and used his service to his advantage i think this one point could have won him the election. Yes. With every leader in the world stating “Saddam had weapons of mass destruction,” the Liberal Left (including Obama and his pastor jeremiah ) kept telling the lie that “Bush lied” to get us into war in Iraq.
