Every year we are treated to a tour of the White House Christmas decorations by Barney, the Bush’s Scottish terrier. He scampers through the White House and we get a dog’s eye view of what is going on there. Of course, he does more than Christmas, but this seems to be his specialty. This year guest stars Olympic gold medalists Michael Phelps and Nastia Liukin.

This year’s holiday theme is a Red, White and Blue Christmas. Each State and each district in each State is represented on the ornaments on the tree. Its really gorgeous.

I know there are a lot of people out there with Bush Derangement Syndrome who will find fault with even something as innocent and benign as a dog running around the White House. But its Christmas, get over it. This is our last holiday season under the protective watch of the Bush Administration. Dare we hope the next administration will look after our safety so well?
