You have to give Kellie Pickler credit, she supports our troops and that’s a pretty great way to use her celebrity. These photos show her leaving for her trip to Iraq to spend Christmas with the Troops. I’ve thrown in a video and lyrics of her singing ‘Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful’ as well.

Kellie Pickler was photographed at the airport in Washington, D.C. preparing to leave on another USO tour to Iraq. She’s surprising the Troops by going there for live performances over Christmas. You might remember that she went to entertain the Troops last Christmas. I posted her video diary of that trip on Blue Star Chronicles a while back. The Troops seemed to love her trip there and she certainly seemed to love it.

I always appreciate anyone who takes the time and effort to give a treat to the Troops. My Soldier Son has told me that it is a real morale booster to have entertainers come there. It helps break the monotony of living on the FOBs and COPs. I know it goes without saying, but they especially enjoy beautiful women who come over. As my Soldier Son said, they go for so long without seeing a female that …. well …. you don’t need me to explain how much they enjoy that.

Some people are making a big deal out of the fact that Pickler is pictured without makeup on. They say she looks completely different. I don’t think so. I think she looks great without makeup and she looks comfortable, which she should considering she’d fixing to take a sixteen airplane trip to Iraq.
