Sarah Palin is the woman that turned the 2008 presidential election on its ear and made more than one or two liberal heads explode. In fact, I think there was a mass explosion that went on simultaneously from the time she was announced and lasted for about two weeks. It took them about two weeks to get their brains back into their heads long enough to coordinate their slander and smear campaign. Meanwhile, their attack dogs just went around throws mud without the usual talking points. Its was a mess and it was hilarious.

Now that the election is over, the Sarah Palin Calendar is HOT on the Amazon’s bestseller’s list.

Palin is also the most admired woman in America according to the most recent Gallop Poll. In that poll she’s just behind Hillary Clinton, who has held the position of ‘most admired woman’ for eons. Interestingly, people voted for Palin over Oprah Winfrey. You might remember that Oprah didn’t want Sarah Palin on her show, you know, sitting on her couches and all. At least she didn’t want her until her audience got upset that she didn’t want her. Then she told some reporters that she DID want her … yet it still hasn’t happened. If I were Palin, it wouldn’t happen at this point.

She’s also been chosen “Conservative of the Year” for 2008.

The Sarah Palin Calendar is very nicely done by long-time Wasilla, Alaska resident and ‘friend-of-Sarah’, Judy Patrick. Patrick is an Anchorage-based photographer who made the calendar out of her professional and personal collection of photos. She’s also got a very impressive portfolio of her many Alaskan subjects on her website. I like the fact that the artist doesn’t try to make it sound like she did the calendar for the sake of Palin worship … unlike some other candidate that sell products in his/her image constantly on television. Patrick says she hopes to make enough for a down payment on a house. Good for her. That’s free enterprise. It’s the American Dream. Its much better than waiting for Big Government to come build you a house.

So you can get your Sarah Palin Calendar. I still have hope that there will be change brought about by someone … if not Sarah Palin, then someone like her. Hope and Change - we need it more than ever now.
