Katyusha rockets were fired into Northern Israel out of Lebanon earlier today. They hit an old age home in Nahariya this morning.
Katyusha Rockets Hit Northern Israel
No one is admitting to firing at least three katyusha rockets into northern Israel today. The rockets hit an old age home in Nahariya, Israel. They landed in the kitchen while the residents were eating breakfast in the room next door. There were only minor injuries.
Both Lebanon and Hezbollah denies having fired the rockets. However, there’s a large Palestinian population in Lebanon and its felt they are responsible for firing the rockets in an attempt to force Israel into war with Lebanon. Israel struck back by shelling the area where the Katyusha rockets had been fired.
Israel has said along that they are prepared for a second front opening up from the north and have kept a close eye on what was happening on their border with Lebanon. They have mobilized thousands of reserve troops and have warned Hezbollah of dire consequences should they decide to take advantage of Israel’s current situation with Gaza.
