Barack Obama spent his second day in office signing executive orders to close Guantanamo Bay, Cuba terrorist detention center. It was all awkwardly filmed. Read about it below.
The Obama has given mixed messages on how he will keep America safe from the global jihadists who continue to look for a crack in our security. He had the cameras in so that everyone could watch him signing executive orders that would close Gitmo where America has kept enemy combatants in the Global War on Terrorism.
Naturally, this was to appease the far left who demanded that these enemy combatants be set free to fight us again. He gave himself a few outs in that there is a year before it has to be closed, the orders are vague and they set up a commission to review the whole issue. In the Obama Administration’s first press conference, his press secretary, Robert Gibbs, had to duck and dodge numerous questions from the press as to where the prisoners would go, how they had researched it adequately in such a short period of time and what they expected to happen to the bad actors who are kept at Gitmo.
Obama continues to emphasize that his first priority is to protect the American people. In what we have come to see as typical Orwellian logic, he and his spokespeople are telling us that loosing security measures actually makes us safer. I expect that they will continue to say that until many people believe it is actually a fact.
They, of course, insist on calling them ‘prisoners’ rather than enemy combatants. They also insist that these men should be allowed to be tried under the rule of law as if they were American citizens - rather than enemies of America who were captured on the battlefield.
These enemy combatants have been given every comfort during their stay on the Cuban island. They are allowed special meals, given their prayer rugs, allowed to practice their religious ceremonies, given medical care, clean and comfortable living quarters, etc. Many have expressed the desire to stay there as it is more comfortable than their homes. However, the far left insists they are being mistreated.
Not to worry, Pennsylvania Congressman John Murtha has volunteered Pennsylvania to house the terrorists when Gitmo closes! I bet his constituents are just thrilled with their potential new neighbors.
The great photoshop above is from blatherings.

i dont know where else to even start to find the answer to my question. Apparently, while signing his executive orders, at some point, Obama turned around and asked someone “What are we doing here?” My husband heard this on the radio, and took it as Obama “not even knowing what he was there for”(he is not an Obama supporter) I would really like to know the specificics of this comment. I assumed that he possibly was just curious as to which paticular order was in front of him. We cannot “agree to disagree” and i have no idea where to go to find an answer. This was the first site that i found, that i could send a comment. Please investigate for me, and let me know. I would be very grateful. Thank you. Lori Mathes
