Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has launched SarahPac. A PAC, or Political Action Committee, is formed to raise money for and donate money to politicians to help them get elected. Sarah PAC is modeled after HllaryPac, Hillary Clinton’s political action committee.

According to the website, sarahpac.com, the PAC is “dedicated to building America’s future, supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.”

The website goes on to state that it is formed to confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation and determination.

“Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination. SarahPAC believes energy independence is a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves.”

Priorities are listed as “building a strong and prosperous economy that recognizes hard work, innovation and integrity by rewarding small businesses and hard-working American families.” Healthcare, education and government reform are also listed as priorities.

Sarah Pac “believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all.”

Of course, many are speculating that Palin is using this PAC as an exploratory committee and an avenue to prepare for a Presidential run in 2012.

My suspicion is that by the time we have had a year or more of a democratic government we’ll be more than ready to return to our conservative, can-do American roots that Sarah Palin has represented for so many of us.
