Keith Olbermann makes no attempt to disguise his prejudice when it comes to political issues. So much for any kind of ‘fairness doctrine’ when it comes to reporting. I guess it doesn’t matter that he masquerades as an actual reporter, although I have to admit that he seems to have stopped trying to pretend to be an unbiased reporter some time ago.
It was during the presidential campaign that even MSNBC couldn’t continue to pretend that what he and his comrade Chris Matthews (’I get a thrill up my leg’) were anything more than Obama cheerleaders. Both Matthews and Olbermann were demoted and moved into the more shadowy time slots of the ‘news’. They were also no longer advertised as journalists or reporters, but now as commentators. Well, they do comment, and comment, and comment. Their unabashed worship is a tad embarrassing.
In the video clip below we are treated to yet another of Keith Olbermann’s little slips on air. Tonight, he covered the presidential State of the Union Address that wasn’t really a State of the Union Address but looked just like one only he’s only been in office for a month Address. I’m not sure what it was called. Anyway, Olbermann was covering it and discussing it, gushing over it, with his panel of guests when Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal stepped out to give the Republican response. Before Jindal even got to the microphone, Olbermann had already rendered his judgment of Jindal’s speech.
‘Oh God’, he muttered.
Olberman is such a Drama Queen!

Oh God, you should go to CreditRabbit.Com to save a bunch of money on DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, Video Games, HDTVs and whatnot and soforth on which you’d otherwise spend an exorbitantly larger amount of money. Oh God! Oh God I’m runnin’ AWWW YEAAAAH!
My best Sammy Hagar, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Everyone’s mic was still open who had been conversing immediately before Jindal began speaking, so why accuse Olbermann when you really don’t know who it was?

Chic - it was Olbermann’s voice.

Beth, if you look at the other blogs you will see there is considerable disagreement about who said it. Even your link says “MSNBCer,” not Olbermann. For all you know it was a technician experiencing some difficulty, and had nothing to do with Jindal at all.

It was Chris Matthews no doubt about it. He made the exact same utterance during the debates after Ron Paul said something. The voice is clearly that of Chris Matthews. Don’t know why some people are confusing it as Olbermann.

Darryl and Chic, why are you defending Olbermann? Its not like his voice is hard to recognize. Just curious of why its so important to you to defend him. At least its apparent that even you know it was inappropriate.

Hard to tell because it was said in a whisper. It sort of sounds like Olbermann’s voice, but Matthews’s Philly accent. Definitely not a technician though - whoever said it was miked, and technicians wouldn’t have mikes that went into the broadcast feed. (The off-mic laughter was likely crew, though.) Inappropriate? In the end, yes, but of course he didn’t intend for that comment to be broadcast.

My wife and I both believe that the “oh god” was Chris Matthew’s voice. Did anyone hear Matthews say that the Republicans had to “out source” their response. Clearly this was a reference to the Governor’s ethnicity. Matthews needs to go.

It doesn’t matter WHO it was, it was unprofessional and it simply illustrates the bias that exists in the Main Stream Media and especially MSNBC. Olbermann, Matthews, the lot of them should be ashamed for even pretending to be objective journalists.

It was Chris Matthews.
