The White House is insisting that Barack Obama did NOT bow to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Nope. What you saw on the video was not a bow. Check out the video here and see what you think.

Did Obama Bow to King Abdullah?

In a what is becoming a typical defense strategy for the White House in response the multiple gaffes, protocol beaches and inappropriate behavior of Barack Obama, they are denying that what you saw is what you saw. Unfortunately for Barack Obama, his subservient bow to the King of Saudi Arabia was caught on tape and has been distributed widely on conservative and Republican blogs.

People have been outraged and repulsed by the sight of an American President bowing to a royal of another nation. As I have pointed out before, our forefathers fought a bloody war to free the American people from allegiance to any foreign monarch.

In fact, it is State Department protocol that United States Presidents bow to no one.

No, the White House says, No, you silly minions, it wasn’t a bow at all. “It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” insisted an Obama aide.

Not so surprisingly, people aren’t buying the Obama Administration’s version of what was recorded on the video.

Obama preformed a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate” and said it violated centuries of American tradition of not deferring to royalty.

In Saudi Arabia the media understands Obama did indeed bow in the presence of King Abdullah and appreciates the deference. “Obama wished to demonstrate his respect and appreciation of the personality of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who has made one of the most important calls in the modern era, namely the call for inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue to defuse the hatred, conflict and wars,” wrote the columnist, Muhammah Diyab.

Sadly, some will decide to make themselves believe his explanation. Most will forget about it by the next news cycle. For many, it won’t matter any more than all the other in-your-face evidence that Obama is not what he has pretended to be. You don’t have to look any further than the publics reaction to multiple scandals and missteps that would have sidelined anyone else’s political ambitions. Take the Reverend Jeremiah Wright as just one example.

Don’t worry. There’ll be another outrageous Obama moment in the next day or two.
