Obama Beer Summit: Blue Moon Beer, Red Stripe Beer
It’s being called ‘unprecedented’! The Obama Beer Summit 2009 is causing quite a buzz. The choices of beers are unique: Blue Moon Beer and Red Stripe Beer for the guests with Barack Obama, Bud Light. Yes, Bud Light.
It’s true that many a conflict has been settled over a drink. Will beer diplomacy between the professor, the officer who arrested him and Barack Obama who stuck his nose where it didn’t belong this week be must see TV? Frankly, I am already sick of the story!
The White House Beer Summit will most likely present a lovely photo op, a few conciliatory words, and a tingly feeling up a certain journalist’s leg but it hardly deals with the more pressing issues of the day like the economy and the healthcare debate. It would take way more then 1 beer to deal with that!
Still, the Obama Beer Summit is a gesture of sorts to try to make amends for Obama’s inappropriate comments and interference in a law enforcement matter. So will Blue Moon Beer, Red Stripe Beer (or was it Sam Adams Beer?), and a Bud Light do the trick?
