A representative from lagoonkeepers.org remembers the first time they saw the “muck monster”; he said they followed it and began to shoot video. Greg Reynolds says he’s never seen anything like it before in his life. Most experts who have seen the video tend to agree, it’s not a dolphin or sea turtle. It by its very definition is a Florida sea creature. From WPTV:

Don Serrano was with Reynolds. “I didn’t know what it was….I was like HEY LOOK! And we moved over and saw it. It was different, very different.”

Thomas Reinert of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission studied the tape and came to the conclusion that he could not definitively tell what the “muck monster” was. He ruled out dolphin, sea turtle, manatee, and shark. We’d like to know what you think the Florida sea creature is.

“I cant definitely say what it is.” “I can speculate but we need more evidence to determine the identity of the Lake Worth muck monster,” said Reinert.

Sometimes in this ever shrinking world, nature throws us a curve ball; we run into something that can’t readily be explained. The Lake Worth “muck monster” falls into that category for now. Just like the men from lagoonkeepers.org said, until it’s identified, the Florida sea creature will be known as the elusive muck monster.
