It doesn’t get much slimier than this, a Nebraska man stole a Virgin Mary painting with the idea of using the proceeds to fund an abortion for the teenage girl he had raped. Talk about the dregs of society, Aurelio Vallerillo-Sanchez is the perfect example.

Sanchez stole a 300 year old painting of the Virgin Mary in hopes of financing an abortion in Mexico for a teenage girl he had raped. When the abortion didn’t work out, he tried to have the baby given up for adoption. Let’s see, steal a painting worth $100,000 to fund an abortion that costs a couple hundred; sounds like a plan to me.
The Virgin Mary painting was stolen from St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska. Aurelio Vallerillo-Sanchez sold the painting worth $100,000 for a mere $3,000 in Mexico. The criminal’s children turned him in to authorities. Good for them.
In September of 2006 Aurelio Vallerillo-Sanchez sexually assaulted a then 14 year old girl, DNA testing linked him to the crime. In March of 2007, the idiot hatched a plan to take the girl to Mexico for an abortion. The Virgin Mary would be the vehicle in which the abortion would be financed. Evidently abortions cost an arm and a leg in Mexico, because Sanchez came up with the scheme to steal the painting and sell it in Mexico to finance the abortion.
Aurelio Vallerillo-Sanchez pled no contest to the first degree charge of sexual assault and felony theft. He faces a possible 70 years in prison. The girl who would be 16 years old now, returned to Nebraska after the birth of the child.
The Virgin Mary painting/abortion funding has not been recovered. Somebody got a steal of a deal, buying a painting worth a possible $100,000 for a slight $3,000. Dregs of society; rape a child, plan an abortion to cover it up, steal a painting of Jesus’ mother from a church to pay for it, take her across the border, try to give the child up for adoption, your own kids turn you in. Maybe dregs of society isn’t strong enough.
