Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin’s memoir is finished and will be in bookstores on November 17, 2009. The timing of the publication is great to make it available for Christmas gifts. The publisher credits Palin’s hard work and dedication to being able to finish the book ahead of time and have it ready for a November publication rather than in the Spring as was initially expected.

“Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project,” Jonathan Burnham, publisher of Harper, said Sunday. “It’s her words, her life, and it’s all there in full and fascinating detail.”

Burnham also says that the 400-page book will have 1.5 million copies in the first printing. They are expecting it to be hugely popular, as is Ms. Palin.

There is some speculation that the book will address some of the issues that led to conflicts between Palin and the McCain camp towards the end of last year’s presidential campaign.

One can only imagine what a book about Sarah Palin by Sarah Palin will be like. ‘Going Rogue’ is so appropriate, and I would guess that the book will not be like any everyday ordinary memoir that is written by a ghost writer. Of course, she had a collaborator, Lynn Vincent, features editor of World magazine. Apparently, she was very hands-on during the project and it is a good bet that her personality will be evident throughout the book.

It’ll make a great Christmas gift. I can’t wait to read it.
