Is Naveen Andrews Killed Off Lost?
Rumors and spoilers are all over the internet as the final season of ‘Lost’ approaches. One of the looming questions that’s being asked is, is Naveen Andrews killed off ‘Lost’? Will the popular Sayid Jarrah no longer be on the Island as Season 6 finishes out the adventures of the Survivors on the mysterious Island?
I found it a bit odd that there are rumors as to whether or not Sayid is killed off in the first episode of the last season of ‘Lost’. There are a couple of reasons I found it odd. One is that he was shot in the stomach last season. Didn’t we last see him leaning against the front of the van, bleeding profusely, looking pretty much worse for the wear and telling Jack that how to ignite the bomb because he wasn’t going to make it and therefore wouldn’t be able to ignite it himself? That seemed pretty much like a swan song to me. Another thing to consider is that if they WERE successful in detonating the bomb, as was certainly implied by the dramatic end of Season 5’s ‘white-out’ final scene, wouldn’t they ALL be dead?
Well, as we know, in ‘Lost’, all things are possible and you never know who is where, when, dead or alive.
If time was re-set, then Sayid wouldn’t have been shot in New Otherton and wouldn’t have been dying in that road telling Jack how to manage without him. So there ya go. If that is the case, then why would one of the main characters not be on the plan en-route from Sydney to Los Angeles with everyone else?
As always with ‘Lost’, there are more questions than answers. However, as we anticipate the final season, we are being told that Season 6 will give us more answers than questions. Finally! It is, after all, the end of the saga of the Survivors.
A clue about whether or not Sayid will be killed off in the first episode of ‘Lost’ is that he was recently filming a guest spot in an episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ in New York City. If for no other reason, the distance between New York and Hawaii, where ‘Lost’ is filmed, is daunting and would imply that he might not have a heavy shooting schedule in Hawaii. But we all know there are ways around that as well.
Enjoy a LOST Season 6 promotional video below. Yes, there are no ‘new’ scenes in the video. That’s because the creators of the series are carefully guarding their secrets and won’t release scenes from the final season. You’ll just have to wait and watch. The new and final season of ‘Lost’ begins on February 2, 2010! I suppose then we can get an answer to one of the questions, ‘Is Naveen Andrews killed off Lost?’
