Mark your calendar!!! The 7th season of American Idol starts on Tuesday evening and we will be here to live blog it. You can join in to chit-chat about the goings-on by just showing up here (or at one of the other participating blogs) and having your say in the little box. Its kind of like a chat room only better.

I think the whole American Idol experience will be much better when shared with friends - especially friends who can make snarky remarks about everything that is said and done on the show. The Cotillion will be live blogging the debates tonight. We are going to try using this program on which you can do it at multiple blogs. Knowing my techno-ability this should be a real hoot. If all goes as its supposed to and I have all the plugs plugged into the right outlets you should be able to see and comment on this same live-blogging do-hickey thing from all the participating blogs.

I know by now that all of you blog junkies are acquainted with, and read, the Cotillion on a daily basis! What you don’t know is that we have decided to start a monthly carnival.

Why not start 2008 with the sharp wit and a brimful of smarts from the ladies of the Cotillion. This edition will bring you topics ranging from daily life in Louisiana to visiting a concentration camp in Germany.

I really got a kick out of Kathleen, Right Wing Sparkle, sharing her Shallow Political Thoughts on her first test webcast. She’s trying out her webcam and shares her thoughts on political hairstyles and Fred Thompson needing more energy and much more. Oh, and its a good thing Ariana Huffington has such a thick accent. Do we really want to understand her??
