Barack Obama’s transitional team has announced that they will work to bring Iran into the Afghanistan front of the Global War on Terrorism. Unbelievable. Read about it below.

The Obama team say they are looking at a ‘regional’ solution to the war in Afghanistan. Of course, the ‘war’ in Afghanistan is a front in the larger Global War on Terrorism, but I’m not at all sure that the Obama people understand that.

There are a couple of clues in this administrations statements that give us a clue about what we are in for during the next couple of years. Here’s some of the clues:

• They want to initiate talks between “reconcilable” members of the Taliban and Hamid Karzai, the elected representative of the Afghan government. What I wonder is how they will fit in the ‘talks’ with the Taliban. Would that be before or after they finish their daily executions of villagers who don’t help the kill American Soldiers?
• They are slamming the Bush administration for allowing ‘ideological constraints’ and an ‘unrealistic’ goal of building a democracy in Afghanistan from dealing with the war effectively. Would that be the ‘ideological constraint’ of having a problem with women being hung and/or shot in the back of the head if the wind blows their burka up over their ankles? I’m just wondering.
• Obama’s people believe they can REASON with the Afghan people to reject the islamic extremism. I guess he forgot that if they reject them they get killed, their families get killed and their neighbors get killed. They might be willing to reject islamic extremism the very minute they know an American Marine will stand guard over them.
• They are putting the focus on ‘catching’ Osama bin Laden. He has become pretty much irrelevant and powerless, but having the President of the United States uttering his name all the time and committing the LIVES of U.S. Soldiers to find him will give him renewed clout and power in the islamic jihadist world.

Okay. Are you sitting down? I’m asking because here’s the big one.

• Obama’s people want to bring in regional help in the war. They are looking to Iran for HELP in the war! They say they will work with Iran to bring peace to the area. They say we have a common goal with Iran which is to make the Sunnis disappear from the area.

I have a news flash for Obama’s people. Iran is already involved in the war. If you think they are sitting behind their borders wringing their hands then you are even more naive than previously proven.

An empowered Iran is a nightmare for us all. If Obama and his people actually listen to what Iranian President Ahmadinejad keeps telling us it might help. Obama says he wants better communication with Iran. Then I say PLEASE listen to them. They want to kill us. That’s what he says and what he appears to be making every effort to do.

People say they voted for Obama because they were bored with Bush. Well. We might just get what everyone wanted. We might just have more excitement than we can stand here shortly.

For that, I hope and pray that God will continue to look favorably on us in spite of our misguided, dangerous and self centered choices.

We’ve all seen the slick, polished, professionally made videos that movie stars have made to support Barack Obama for President. They are great hollywood productions. But they are just that, productions. They feature people who play heroes on television.

The simple and direct message of a REAL hero carries a lot more weight with most of us. Its not a slick, expensive production. Its the honest words of an American hero. The kind of man we should look up to. He may not make millions of dollars entertaining people for playing a hero in the movies, but he earns our undying respect and gratitude for BEING a hero and …. putting country first.

A wounded Australian Special Air Service (SAS) soldier fights on in Afghanistan, even after being shot several times and having to tie himself into his vehicle. Read about below, see photos and a video.

Blackfive is reporting an amazing story about a wounded Australian SAS fighter who exhibited extraordinary courage under fire in Afghanistan.

Of course, its no huge surprise. Aussies are known to be tough. This guy took tough and multiplied it by ten. It seems he was seriously wounded after taking two shots to his upper chest. He struggled back to his vehicle and lashed himself to the front end of the vehicle so that he wouldn’t be left behind should he pass out from too much blood loss.

Once he was secured he kept on fighting …. tied to the front of his Long Range Patrol Vehicle (LRPV).

DESPITE being shot twice during an ambush in Afghanistan, an SAS soldier lashed himself to the front of his patrol vehicle so he wouldn’t be left behind if he passed out from loss of blood and kept on fighting.

The Digger is expected to be recommended for a high level bravery award.

Suffering from serious upper body wounds, the soldier struggled on to the front of his SAS long range patrol vehicle (LRPV) and, under heavy fire, used a rope to attach himself firmly between the vehicle’s bull bar and radiator.

Once he was secured, and there was no chance that he would fall off if he fainted, he picked up his rifle and resumed firing at the enemy during a two-hour fighting withdrawal.

SAS troops and their special forces comrades from the Commando Regiment are well aware of the slow and painful death that awaits them if they are captured by the Taliban.

The Digger, who cannot be identified, faded in and out of consciousness, emptying several magazines as volleys of enemy rounds and rocket propelled grenades, rained down around him.

He was finally evacuated from the battle field at high speed still lashed to the front of the LRPV…

…A source told The Courier-Mail the Digger was now “up and about” and would recover fully from his serious gunshot wounds. His heroic deeds will be recognised when he is recommended for a high level bravery award.

Several others engaged in the do-or-die battle on September 2 are also in line for top honours…

There are reports that the U.S. has launched air strikes on the Syrian Border with Iraq. Read about it below and see photos, maps and a video report.

There are scattered reports that the U.S. has crossed the border into Syria launching an attack near the Iraqi border city of Qaim. The apparent purpose of this attack is to close up a border crossing that jihadis have used to cross over into Iraq to fight our Soldiers there. Its been reported that most other countries surrounding Iraq have cooperated to the point that they have managed to police the border areas in order to prevent al-Qaeda and other islamic radicals from crossing over into Iraq. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case with Syria.

We can only speculate as to the reasons for this attack at this point in time. This border has been leaking al-Qaeda for years. However, it seems apparent to me that we have been taking a more proactive role in closing down leaking borders both into Iraq and Afghanistan. There have been more attacks in the tribal areas of Pakistan that border Afghanistan and now in this tribal area of Syria that borders Iraq.

There is some speculation that it was more than trying to close down these border areas and that there may have been a high value target in the area. Possibilities are the leader of al-Qaeda, al-Masri or Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri.

I do like the stance of the military at this point. The statement had to do with our inability to work with Syria to stop these border crossings and that we are taking the matter into our own hands. HOOAH!

Syria, of course, is denouncing the attack and the media makes sure to point out, right at the top, that villagers are reporting we killed children. They always report that and its rarely true.

Many of the liberal blogs are carrying on about how we’ve started another war. What they don’t seem to realize or understand is that this is all the same war. Its called the Global War on Terror. It has many fronts. Western interests have been attacked all over the world. We have taken the battlefield to them, keeping them in that area of the world. We also have surrounded Iran. When we went into Iraq, it was a strategically brilliant move in terms of placing American Troops right in the center of the Middle East and completely surrounding Iran.

Iran and the liberals aren’t happy with us being in that position, but its really a great strategical position to be in. Maybe they’ve never played a game of chess and learned that surrounding the enemy is a good thing.

Its also a good thing to do what needs to be done to keep foreigners out of Iraq. They have been who we’ve been fighting there all along. We should have shut down those borders years ago.

Its being reporting that al-Qaeda’s number four has been killed. Khalid Habib has been targeted by U.S. strikes for years and periodically has been reported to have been hit. However, locals who have reported his demise have retracted their statements and Habib has continued to elude the air strikes.

This time it appears that we got him.

The senior member of al-Qaeda was hit in a U.S. air strike from a remotely controlled aircraft on Taparghai, in South Waziristan on Thursday, October 16th.

Habib has moved around the remote regions of Pakistan as the areas he has been in have come under increased bombing. He had just recently moved from Wana (the capital of South Waziristan) to Taparghai because of the increased attacks by the U.S. There is a Pakistani Taliban base nearby that is closely allied with al-Qaeda.

The reports of his demise are coming from villagers who knew him under the alias of Zalfay, which means ‘long hair’ in Pashto. They reported he was ‘important’ in the al-Qaeda network.

The U.S. air strikes in the area have increased significantly in the last couple of months with the goal of breaking the militant network of Sirajuddin Haqqani who is a Taliban leader with close ties to al-Qaeda.

American and Pakistani officials have not verified that Khalid Habib was killed this time, but there is a high possibility he has been. The reports are coming from people living in tribal areas. Hopefully, we will be able to verify that this terrorists has been killed this time.

Habib was an Egyptian and was the chief of al-Qaeda’s operations in the tribal regions of Pakistan.

The Third Jihad

So what is The Third Jihad? First, it helps to know what the first two Jihads are. The first jihad had to do with islam taking over the Middle East. The second jihad was to expand islam. The third jihad is world domination. We have certainly heard a lot of the intention for islam to obtain world domination in recent years.

In order to bring about world domination, jihadist intend to spread Sharia Law. They have made no secret that they intend to accomplish this through any means necessary with through violence, the help of ‘useful idiots’ in the West (including media outlets using propaganda, representatives our government institutions and infiltration in our institutions of higher learning). They have made inroads in enforcing islamic laws in Europe and their intention is to replace our Constitution with Sharia Law.

The movie is the result of the work of Dr. Zuhdi Jasser. He is Muslim American and former physician to the U.S. Congress. After the radical islamist manifesto was released by the FBI Dr. Jasser decided to investigate the assertions of the manifesto, which described how to destroy America from within.

Today is the sixth anniversary of the Bali Bombing. The attack on Westerners by Islamic Extremists, connected to al-Qaeda’s global jihad, killed 202 people, mostly Australians. Read about it below and see photos and videos about the bombing.

6th Anniversary Memorial Service

Today, relatives of the victims of the 2002 Bali Bombings gathered at the monument erected in their memory in the Kuta district of Denpasar, Indonesia. The islamic extremists who bombed a nightclub in an entertainment district on Bali were part of the al-Qaeda network of global jihad.

The islamic militants killed citizens of 20 countries, hardest hit were citizens of Australia who often vacation on Bali.

“Six years ago, 88 Australians lost their lives and many more were injured in the bombings in Bali. Today we honor their memory,” Australia’s ambassador to Indonesia, Bill Farmer, said in a speech read on behalf of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

“We pause also to remember the 38 Indonesians and 76 people from other countries who were killed in that dreadful attack.”

As can be expected, there are conspiracy theorists who attempt to minimize the significance of the Bali bombing in the same way they do the attacks of 9/11. I’ve read reports from these conspiracy theorists that it as a US/Israeli attack to keep people on a war footing against the Middle East. It’s my belief that these people are so afraid of the islamic radicals that they have to blame the benign powers in order to make themselves feel safer.

Its important for us to remember these bombings and murders and to remember who is responsible for them. The jihadist have declared war on the West and have no intention of stopping. We ignore it at our own peril.

Today we remember Bali and those who lost their lives and loved ones to al-Qaeda terrorists.

Jason Thomas is a hero who saved lives on September 11, 2001. No one knew who he was and what he had done for several years after the events of that day. Read about him and see photos and a video below.

One of the things I have noticed about heroes is that they often run towards danger, instead of away from danger. On September 11, 2001, while most people were running for their lives from the burning, collapsing towers that were the World Trade Center, there were some who ran towards the buildings. One of those who went towards danger to save others was Jason Thomas. Jason Thomas is an American hero!

Jason Thomas is a former Marine Sergeant who was dropping his daughter off at his mother’s house in Long Island, New York when he was told that planes had hit the World Trade Center. He left there, went home and put on his Marine uniform and went to the site of the attacks. When he arrived one of the towers was collapsing. Thomas parked his car and ran toward and into the horrific cloud of ash.

He has stated that he didn’t have a plan of action, he just knew that there were people that needed help. ‘My city is in need.’

He helped firefighters, survivors and prayed over the dead. Eventually, he met up another former Marine, Staff Sgt. Dave Karnes. The two men decided to start their own search and rescue mission in the tower of debris that had been the World Trade Center. They were told it was too dangerous to venture there. They said someone needed their help and they were going anyway.

With nothing more than flashlights and an infantryman’s shovel they climbed onto and into the debris shouting out for any survivors. Eventually, they found and rescued New York City Police Officers Will Jimeno and John McLoughlin who were buried in the debris but still alive.

Jason Thomas continued to help with search and rescue for a couple of weeks after the events of September 11th. He was remembered by those whom he rescued, but he never identified himself to others at the site other than as Sgt. Thomas. After he’d been at Ground Zero for a little over two weeks, he walked away. He never told his wife and five children that he was a 9-11 hero.

When a movie was made in 2006 about the rescue of the police officers, Thomas realized that he was being portrayed in the movie. At that point, the mysterious hero came forward and identified himself.

Kentucky Fried Chicken - Iraq

You know there’s real progress being made in the Battle of Iraq when American fast food restaurants start opening there.

Only a short time ago the city of Fallujah served as stronghold for insurgents. Daily skirmishes, improvised explosive device detonations and public unease made operating a business in the city very difficult.

Today, with improved security throughout the region, the low price of 4,000 dinar, or $3.50, will purchase a full meal at the recently established Kentucky Fried Chicken in the Hey Al Dubat area of the city.

The KFC is the first to open for business in the city. Before improved conditions in the city, insurgents threatened business owners, demanding money to support acts of terrorism.

You read that right. Kentucky Fried Chicken has opened up in Fallujah. Capitalism and crispy fried chicken are winning the hearts and minds of the people.

Citizens of the area can now work steady jobs, where as prior conditions kept many from even coming to work on a daily basis.

“I love the work here, because we have the opportunity to go to work every day,” said a KFC employee.

The video below was produced by the Vets For Freedom. The message is one I’ve heard from many Soldiers who are fighting in the Global War on Terrorism. Very simply, Finish the Job!

The video’s message is ‘no matter who is president’. I agree. Unfortunately, it does matter who is president especially in an election year in which the differences between the two candidates are as stark as night and day. One will honor our military and the other will decimate our military. One is clear about winning the war on terrorism and the other is building his campaign on loss, surrender and appeasement.

We must finish the job.

Moveon.org wants you to raise your sons to be wimps. Check out their attack ad on John McCain below.

This ad really got under my skin. I don’t know if that’s the reason moveon.org made the ad, to irritate people like me. I think they probably made the commercial to pull on the heart strings of all mothers out there and make it appear that John McCain wants to take their sons. These commercials that try to use emotion rather than reality to sway votes are just irritating.

I wonder about the actress (I doubt she’s really the mother of the baby because she’s obviously acting) saying that John McCain can’t have her son. Does that mean she’d rather her son live in a terrorist state or under the constant threat of acts of terrorism? Does that mean that she wants other people’s sons to keep the wolves at bay so that her son can live a life of complete narcissism? What is it she thinks happens in the world?

Actually, I can relate to what she’s saying. I can’t imagine my son being off in a foreign land being shot at by people who are trying to kill him. Its horrific to even contemplate. Its a reality that many of us have to live with day in and day out as our sons do their duty for the country. Its an unimaginable and untenable thing … to have your son ‘over there’ and to know that at any moment something horrible can happen. You don’t go for a second not knowing that. Not for a second for the entire time he’s deployed.

But what would this little actress, or moveon.org, have us do? As a mother, I have learned that I have to let my children grow up and make their choices in life, just as I made mine. I respect the choices my children have made and I support them 100%. I am proud of my son. His deployment changed him, but mostly in good ways. He is definitely a man now. He has a self-confidence and personal strength he never had before. That doesn’t mean I wanted him to go to Iraq. It just means that I understand that at some point a mother has to stand aside and allow her son to become a man.

I would rather do it than send my son to do it, but that’s not how it works. People like moveon.org would rather we surrender and appease than stand up to danger. By doing that, they put our sons in more danger.

Someone has to stand between our society and danger. If not my son, then who? If not little Alex then someone else will have to stand and deliver. Someone’s son, somewhere. This commercial makes me angry. What she is saying is that she is not willing to do her part. She’ll put us all in more danger to hide herself and her child in a corner. I love my son as much as she loves hers. I held him in my lap when he was a baby. I watched him take his first steps and go to school for the first time. I sat with him when he was sick and listened to him when he was confused. I waited in terror the first time he took the car out for a drive by himself.

The hardest thing I have ever done is spend 15 months knowing that he was in imminent danger half-way around the world and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.

This woman should get used to it. That’s what its like to raise kids.

Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) has told the world that he will meet with the enemies of the United States, but he won’t meet with our Troops or with General Petraeus. Read more below and see video.

The Vets for Freedom have put out the two ads included here. The press release below explains more about the video about in which Sgt. Garrett Anderson, a constituent of Obama’s was unable to get any of Obama’s time.

1) Senator Obama has never met, one-on-one, with the Commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus.

2) Senator Obama has not visited Iraq, and our brave troops on the ground, in over two years. His last visit to Iraq was January 2006, and he was there for less than two days.

3) On April 8, when two-dozen Illinois veterans went to his office for a meeting, Senator Obama was unwilling to meet with them. He was in the office, just wouldn’t come out. Sergeant Anderson was a member of that group.

I’m thinking that their mistake was probably that they didn’t have a donation to make to his presidential run, this had to do with his job as a Senator rather than having to do with his hoped-for job as President and Sgt. Anderson was just a typical white guy who Obama didn’t owe any political favors to. There was no chance this dude was going to get in to see The Obamessiah!
